So all the hype this week has been about the eagerly anticipated Apple iPad launch but has the new Apple product been well received?

Well early opinions aren’t that favourable and after reading early reviews it’s not difficult to see why. There seems to be some serious questioning as to where in the market this product will fit. It’s not as mobile as the iPhone or as useful as a notebook and there are reservations over whether the choice of technology used in the product makes it any good at what the vision for the product is.

Never mind if you pay the $500 price tag and discover it’s not very useful,

“You can even use your iPad as a beautiful digital photo frame while it’s is docked or charging.”

Might the iPad end up being the most expensive digital photo frame on the market

We all hear the horror stories of what can happen if we don’t sufficiently protect our computers against viruses but do we really need to shell out on expensive Anti Virus software to ensure we don’t catch the latest bout of PC Flu?

Well, no. The truth of the matter is, just a couple of small precautions need to be taken during day to day use of our laptops or desktops to keep us safe from harm.

Here are our top 3 tips for keeping free of those pesky Viruses:

1. Don’t have an email account

Quite simply the most effective way to keep your computer virus free is to not have an email account. By not having an email account you’ll ensure you won’t receive any email that might contain any viruses. You’ll also free up 2-3 hours of your waking day by not having to continually move emails with subject lines like, “RE: I will cheat on my teenage lesbian daughter with you” to the junk box.

2. Don’t have an email account

Yeah, we know that was our number 1 tip as well but we thought it was worth repeating. Most people will have you believe that it’s not really possible to survive these days without an email account but it is. Signup to our email newsletter to find out how.

3. Actively encourage small doses of computer viruses

Vaccination as a prevention to computer viruses is a very effective way to maintain a healthy PC. Much like a Flu vaccination where a small dose of the flu virus is administered into the body to build immunity against contracting the full blown flu virus, deliberately infecting your PC with a small computer virus can prevent against contracting more powerful computer viruses. The quickest way to immunise is to search Google for any phrase with the words, “Russian”, “warez” and “free” in it, visit the site, download any of the wonderfully dirty free software and install. Hey presto your computer is now infected with some form of computer virus and will immediately begin to build up an immunity against other computer viruses.

I very rarely (never) write anything of any use on this blog but after spending an entire evening trying to get my PSP working with remote play for remote PlayTV viewing I thought I’d share my findings.

For anyone else that is having problems getting PlayTV working over remote play on PSP quite simply remove the 720p option from the PS3 display settings options. For some reason the PSP doesn’t like it and after a black screen for a few minutes a timeout error occurs.

Why the hell Sony don’t tell anyone these sort of useful facts I have no idea. I’m getting increasingly frustrated by Sony and their lack of support and informative tutorials for the Playstation 3. There’s no denying the PS3 is a great piece of kit but why the hell should I have to spend 6 hours trying to find an answer to a problem that shouldn’t be there? Do Sony do any testing at all on the stuff they’re releasing?

They’re pitching this technology as something everyone can do. They portray an illusion that it’ll just work out of the box and we’ll all be remote playing and remote watching PlayTV in minutes but the truth is that it’s actually quite a complex scenario that’s at play here and even the most tech savvy people are struggling to get this technology working.
