So all the hype this week has been about the eagerly anticipated Apple iPad launch but has the new Apple product been well received?

Well early opinions aren’t that favourable and after reading early reviews it’s not difficult to see why. There seems to be some serious questioning as to where in the market this product will fit. It’s not as mobile as the iPhone or as useful as a notebook and there are reservations over whether the choice of technology used in the product makes it any good at what the vision for the product is.

Never mind if you pay the $500 price tag and discover it’s not very useful,

“You can even use your iPad as a beautiful digital photo frame while it’s is docked or charging.”

Might the iPad end up being the most expensive digital photo frame on the market

PC World Scratch/Crash Test Apple iPhone

PC World (Not us here at PC Whirled) have taken the trouble to do a scratch test and general user drop test to see how the Apple iPhone holds up to everyday use. It appears like it stands up to general wear and tear quite well. I haven’t got one but my first test would be to see how well it does when it goes skidding across a wet road at night, as my usual phone dropping occurs when leaving the pub and pulling out my house keys. The usual occurrence is the battery falling out and a few scratch marks on the screen.
